July's first weekend is bringing new reasons to go out of the house and enjoy the summer!

Bucharest Jazz Festival
Jazz lovers have a wonderful surprise at the begining of July. The last three days of Bucharest Jazz Festivel are on this weekend, and every evening from 20.00 - 21.30 free concerts will take place in George Enescu Square.
The headliner of this edition is the Mexican drummer Antonio Sánchez. He will perform with his band, Migration, on Saturday, July 6th, 21:30 at "George Enescu" Square. He is the winner of four Grammys, a Golden Globe nominee, and among the most sought after drummers on the scene of international jazz. Sanchez is also the composer of the original soundtrack of the Oscar winning movie "Birdman"

Togetherness - the largest collective painting in Romania
Visit the Painting Room Bucharest and be part of the most ambitious collective painting in Romania. Every day from 8.00 to 23.00 everyone is invited to join the project
The walls of the workshop are covered in white paper and highlighting the shape and size of the space, and the concept of the project is to highlight #togetherness
For organizational reasons, you're invited to book a place here
tickets cost: - 50 lei (paint a board that is randomly assigned to you by the system) - 75 lei (you choose the board you paint)
Terms of participation: - Minimum age: 4 years - no need for experience or talent - we trust you - 1 ticket allows you to paint on a single sheet for a maximum of 60 minutes
Bucharest Nightmarket
Night-markets are quite a trend abroad. Open Monteoru is happy to introduce this concept to Bucharest for the first time. 20+ local sellers - the best of everything. The location speaks for itself - this time around both the front-yard and back-garden are open for the market. The event takes place all weekend long from 18:00 till 3am. The first edition of many.

Peejay Vincent, well respected percussionist and percussion teacher will take the stage for a live performance on traditional African drums. Tickets: 30 lei / at the door or find them online here
SATURDAY - 6 July
18.00 - 19.45 Loving Vincent at Cinema Europa (click here to see the address)
A multiple awarded movie, entirely painted and based on the life of Vincent Van Gogh. Tickets cost 15 lei, buy them here.
14.00 - 22.00 Wake the Lake at Zumbaala Wake Park (click here to see the address)
Party on the Mogosoaia lake, Taking over the park with nasty tricks & funky beats. Different music sessions Saturday (and Sunday)
SUNDAY - 7 July
11.00 - 22.00 Brunch at Le Bistrot Social (click here to see the address)
Even if you wake up late on Sunday, after a white night, the brunch is on at Le Bistrot Social, enjoy their lovely open air terrace and delicious food.
