Bucharest Weekend Vibes : 17 - 19 May

The upcoming weekend looks exciting for culture lovers, coffee lovers, beer lovers, party lovers, brunch lovers and more. A little bit of everything for everyone, just like any other Bucharest weekend, especially during the warm season (disregard the rain).

Make sure to look over both sections of the article: ongoing events happening throughout the weekend and independent events for each day. Pick and choose your favorite combination and most importantly: enjoy the weekend!

Main events happening all through the weekend:

Night of open Museums

18th of May to 19th of May the city's cultural life comes alive as almost all museums open their doors to curious visitors, free of charge. The event is honored all over Europe in the same manner: by celebrating culture and allowing the public to visit museums at night.

In Bucharest the museums aren't the only venues opening their doors throughout the night, there are several galleries and creative architectural and design projects joining the initiative. Find the full map and schedule of each participant up on the website.

Bucharest Coffee Week

The first edition of the Bucharest Coffee Week started on Tuesday, May 14 and continues until Sunday, May 19.

More than 30 events will be held, all in various locations, in order to give everyone the chance to know more about coffee through tastings, parties, workshops, talks, and other funny activities. The aim of this event is to promote the amazing job made by local coffee artisans, to stimulate the community, and give you the opportunity to experience coffee in ways you never thought about before. Find here the Facebook event list

Berlinerville - hipster white beer from Berlin at Mikkeller

Summerish by definition and refreshing by nature, it’s time for the berliner weisse to warm us up for the hot season. Having the superpower to put you in a relaxed mood, berliner weisse is literally the coolest beer style. As the name indicates, it originates in Berlin, all the way back to the 1600s, and by the end of the 1800s, it was the most popular alcoholic drink in the German city. Let’s give it a go and see how the modern berliner weisse has evolved in its long history.

The event takes place from 17th to 19th of May at Mikkeller Bucharest from 17.00 to 23.00
